Calendar regulars - and there does seem to be an ever-growing number of them - will know I always try to ease everyone in on the first day with a seasonal song, rather than an outright Christmas tune, as there are so many people out there for whom 'it's all too early'.
The trouble this year is the first day of Advent is a Sunday and - another stupid self-imposed rule - Sundays on the calendar have to feature a carol.
So from Radio 1's Live Lounge here are Crouch End's very own indie favourites with a lovely take on a traditional tune.
While this is playing get that loft ladder out and get the Santa hat down.
